today

Always wanted to try this restaurant!
Something different from my ordinary outings where I usually end up in
a Japanese restaurant.

enchillada w/ mole sauce
the sauce wasn't very good
appetizer that comes with every meal
i loved the salsa! it's hella spicy!
 Mulitas with chicken
it wasn't so bad but i thought it tasted just like a quesadilla

My experince at Don guacamole's wasn't as good as what i expected
but i cannot forget the taste of the salsa!!!

thenn i went to conbiniya and got some snacks :)
im becoming addicted to those caramel covered treats!
they are so crunchy and not too sweet !
.
.
.

well this basically sums up my day

Burgoo

queso tortilla
beef bourguignon
irish stew

This bistro is just outside of UBC on 10th.
The atmosphere was great and I loved the decorations and etc
appetizer queso tortilla was pretty good
but the main dishes let us down..

I have no idea what that Irish stew is suppose to taste like
.......
overall, it wasn't a very good experience for $16
the bourguignon was okay but not great

I don't know if I'll be coming back to this place again..
but I've heard that brunch is good

hazelnut belgian chocolate mousse
black savannah

Black savannah is my favourite cake at True confections. It's not too sweet
and very fluffy.  I prefer it without the raspberry sauce though.

It was my first time trying the Belgian mousse.
It was sweeter than what I thought, and there is just a hint of hazelnut to it.
It might be too much sweet for just one person, but I would say that
it's a very good dessert overall :)

Good thing True Confection  made up for our
bad/interesting dinner experience..

cafe Medina

dark chocolate +waffle
la sante
berry compote +waffle
raspberry caramel latte
matcha latte

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of Medina.  The bricks gave it a different feeling
to the whole experience.
I didn't try the brunch today, but ate the waffles!
They were AWESOME!
sweet, moist, crisp YUM

Medina is owned by the same owner as the restaurant beside called Chambar
I have been wanting to go to that restaurant for such a long time
but haven't had a chance to go!
next time, I should grab brunch and then
go get dinner at chambar

sounds like a perfect party in my mouth

Taka's take-out sushi

Today, I had one of the best nigiri sushi EVER
The place is called "Taka's take-out sushi".

They only have rolls and sushi (nigiri, sashimi) due to the
limited space in the kitchen.

you can check out their menu and hours at http://www.taka.ca/

I love how they wrote open " 11:30 am to late"

According to my friend who works there,
they will stay open as long as there is a customer in the store.
If anyone of you guys come to White Rock, it's a MUST go sushi place.

The chef Taka
I thinks this was called peppered tuna tataki wakame salad

red tuna, salmon.. and can't remember what the other one is..
OMG these were so good.
YUM!
Jason made me eat.. the marinated tobiko nigiri (green
one on the left)..
and I literally thought that I was gona die.
They give you a bucket full of candies so you can take..
maybe one or two.
but we ended up taking .. A LOT of them
hahah Thank you Taka!
Taka's take out menu

by so far one of the best sushi I had in Vancouver!
I am craving for some already!

I absolutely LOVE this place and it's
