2011

it's 2011!!!!
can you believe it? time sure flies by.  I always thought that I would be stuck as a teenager but slowly,
I have become an adult.  It's actually kind of scary to face the reality.

As I get older, sometimes I feel lost as if I am in the middle of no where.
I realize my regrets and learn from my mistakes hoping to make a better choice next time.

This year, I hope I learn to love myself more than others.  I don't mean it in a selfish way.
I hope to learn new things and become more knowlegeable
I hope to reflect more often.
I hope to become more caring and loving towards others.
and lastly, I hope to stay strong and true to myself.

Happy new year!

Christmas

I came home yesterday and oddly, I felt out of place!! It's probably because I 've stayed at the dorm for so long that the campus is slowly becoming my home.  It was good to come home and eat some of my mom's home cooked meals.  I almost forgot how awesome her cooking skills are.

It's Christmas today but it doesn't feel like Christmas at all.  I finished my exams quite late and I haven't been outside UBC for about a month.  When I went to the mall, I was shocked at the holiday spirit and felt kinda sad because I still had one more exam to go.  Sadly, I still can't get into the holiday mood but I have a feeling that I will try until school starts which means listening to tons of carols!  But before that, I should get rid of my cold first.  (I have no clue how I got sick.. this is the 3rd time his winter!)

I've been thinking of taking another language course at UBC.  I was going to tak Italian, but it kind of seems like it won't be as useful compared to Spanish.  So I am debating between the two.. but I guess I have plenty of time to decide.

I've only got about 9 days until school starts and my plan is to hang out with my high school friends (Paula is coming back!!!), do some reading, try knitting, shopping, possibly baking, and I better start my textbook shopping as well.

Merry Christmas! and stay warm!!!
